▷ 제목: Magnetic actuation and assembly of microarchitectured polymer composites
▷ 내용: Miniaturized magnetic robots have recently garnered considerable attention for contactless regulation which can avoid complex mechanical and electrical design principles. Programming magnetic actuation and assembly of multiple microrobots allows microrobots for capability to execute difficult tasks that cannot be achieved by a single microrobot. Toward programmable magnetic actuation and self-assembly, magnetic particles are incorporated into polymeric matrices. Dependent to size or types of magnetic particles, we can prevent or induce magnetic assemblies. When micron-sized hard magnetic particles are anisotropically magnetized within cuboidal microrobots, the microrobots autonomously assemble into different geometry through local magnetic interactions under a rotating magnetic field. I will discuss the effects of various governing parameters including aspect ratio, packing density, and stiffness of assembled microrobots. Finally, I will discuss structure-property-perform correlation to achieve various tasks such as self-climbing, self-throwing over an obstacle, self-lifting of an obstacle, cargo transportation, tube unclogging, and organism guiding.
