제목: Control of Molecular Alignment in Organic Crystalline Materials for THz Photonic Applications
내용: Organic π-conjugated crystalline materials having large nonlinear optical and electro-optic activities are very attractive for diverse THz photonic applications such as THz generation, detection, and modulation. Among various ionic and non-ionic organic crystals, organic ionic crystals consisting of large microscopic nonlinear optical cationic chromophores exhibit excellent crystal characteristics; e.g., large macroscopic optical nonlinearity, high thermal stability, and good phase matching condition in optical-to-THz conversion. Here we present various design strategy of recent development of organic π-conjugated single crystals for THz wave photonics.
