[Abstract]
Hole-transport materials (HTMs) are crucial components in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) for achieving both efficiency and stability of PSCs. Thus, to solve the long-term stability problem of PSCs, we design and introduce a novel dopant-free HTM, F-PBTBDT. F-containing side chain in the F-PBTBDT molecule contributes to the moisture durability of perovskite films. Additionally, the F-PBTBDT molecule facilitates the hole extraction, owing to the suitable energy level matching with the perovskite film. Because of these advantages, PSCs with F-PBTBDT achieved a high efficiency of 19.5%. Furthermore, under extremely humid conditions for 1000 h, the PSCs with F-PBTBDT maintained 81% of their original efficiency. This work is noteworthy in that it provides a novel design strategy for dopant-free HTMs that can effectively boost the stability and the performance of the PSCs.
