[Abstract]

Drop-on-demand inkjet printing is regarded as a digital printing method because it makes arbitrary patterns using many drops of ink which are jetted on specific position at specific time.  The drop-on-demand characteristics of inkjet printing can give advantages when applied to flexible/stretchable substrate. Inkjet printing, however, has several limitations inherently including narrow range of drop size control, ink property restriction, low reliability, low throughput, as well as pre- and post-processing requirements. In this presentation, several issues in inkjet printing would be discussed as well as overall introduction of inkjet printing as a manufacturing tool of the electronic devices.
